Jetpack Search now understands your WooCommerce catalog

Jetpack Search 7.0 introduces product-aware filters for WooCommerce stores. Conventional keyword searches may make high-intent customers sift through numerous results to find what they need. With product-aware search, customers can find the right product faster by filtering results based on price range, stock status, color, size, and rating. Setting up these filters is easy through the block editor, with no need for custom code, and the filter blocks will seamlessly match your theme’s styling.

Jetpack Search automatically adds product-specific filter blocks to your store:

• Price range: Customers can set a budget, and results will update instantly. An easily dismissible chip displays their active price filter, allowing for quick adjustments.
• Rating: Filter products by star rating to highlight top-reviewed items.
• Stock status: Keep out-of-stock products hidden from search results to avoid customer frustration.
• Product attributes: Filter by product details like size, color, or material that influence purchasing decisions.
• Category, tag, and brand: Directly integrate your existing product taxonomies into the search functionality.

Instead of needing separate plugins or custom code for these features, they are seamlessly integrated into the search experience.

Search results are displayed as product cards, showcasing images, prices, and other attributes without the need to click into each result. This makes your search page visually consistent with your store layout.

Customers can easily sort results by price (low to high, high to low) and average rating, prioritizing factors that influence their buying decisions. The default keyword-relevance sort is still available, but shoppers can customize their search experience.

Every filter is presented as a WordPress block, making it simple to add them to your search page sidebar or widget area using the block editor.

1. Ensure Jetpack is installed and enabled on your WooCommerce store.
2. If not installed, you can add Jetpack from your admin panel and select a plan. (Note: Jetpack Search is free for sites with under 5,000 records or 500 search requests per month.) Once installed, go to Jetpack → Settings → Performance, and enable Search.
3. Open the block editor on your search results page.
4. WooCommerce-specific blocks (Price Filter, Rating Filter, Stock Status, Product Attributes, Product Filters) will automatically appear in your block inserter.
5. Drag and drop the filters you want into your sidebar.
6. Customers will see the filters immediately.
